This Privacy Policy explains how BoreholeHub, a trading name of Vularis (Pty) Ltd ("BoreholeHub", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use www.boreholehub.co.za (the "Site"). We process personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
1. Who we are
BoreholeHub operates an online directory of borehole drilling, pump installation and water service companies in South Africa. For the purposes of POPIA, the responsible party is BoreholeHub, a trading name of Vularis (Pty) Ltd. Our Information Officer can be reached at boreholehub@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Details you give us when you complete a form — your name, email address, phone number, the message or project details you provide, your suburb or province, and (for installers) your company name, services and website.
- Consent records — whether you agreed to be contacted, and the date and version of the policy you agreed to.
- Technical and usage data — collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, such as your device, browser, pages viewed and how you reached the Site. See our Cookie Policy.

4. Who we share it with
We share personal information with:
- Verified installers in our directory, so they can respond to your enquiry. Each installer is an independent business responsible for its own use of your information.
- Service providers (operators) who help us run the Site and communicate with you, including our email provider (Resend), our CRM and analytics provider (HubSpot), website analytics (Google Analytics), form handling (Formspree), and hosting (Vercel).
- Authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers process data on servers outside South Africa. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected by a comparable level of protection, as required by POPIA.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purpose it was collected for — to handle your enquiry and any follow-up — and thereafter only as long as the law requires or allows. You may ask us to delete it at any time (see your rights below).
7. Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
- Ask us to correct or delete your personal information;
- Object to processing or withdraw your consent at any time;
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at boreholehub@gmail.com. Withdrawing consent will not affect processing that already took place.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access and misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect the personal information of children without the consent of a parent or guardian.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
